We raise Duroc/Yorshire/Landrace cross pigs in our woods. We do this because wild pigs naturally live in wooded areas since it provides shade and shelter, and lots of forage! Our pigs get rotated throughout their area in order to get fresh greens, berries, and nuts to munch on in addition to their free-choice organic feed. We also hard boil any cracked eggs from our chickens and give them as treats! Our pigs get to be pigs: digging up dirt, making wallows, and sleeping in pig piles! They are super friendly and let us pet them behind the ear like a puppy!
